Hepler-Shoffner Couple Married Oct. 13 At Hardison
Stephanie Darlene Hepler and Jeremy Dale Shoffner were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Hardison United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Crystal Alexander performing the 5:30 p.m. ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Phillip Edwin and Darlene Shew Fuller of Mocksville.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Davie High School and a 2005 graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design with a minor in business. She is employed at Precision Decorating Center in Winston-Salem.
She is the granddaughter of Paul and Margaret Shew, Yvonne and Perry Richardson, Bob Hepler and Phoebe Lakey, all of Mocksville, and the late Evelyn Hepler and the late Cecil Lakey.
The groom is the son of John Bryant and Mary Phelps McClamroch of Mocksville. He is a 2000 graduate of Davie High School and a 2002 graduate of N.C. State University with an associate degree in ornamental landscape technology. He is employed at Fuller Contracting Co. of Mocksville.
He is the grandson of John McClamroch of Mocksville, Burl and Barbara Childress of Columbus, Ohio, and the late William and Lucille Phelps and the late Hubert and Mannie Shoffner. Honorary grandparents were Ronnie and Gail Bivins of Cooleemee.
The bride, escorted by her dad, wore a re-embroidered lace sweetheart strapless gown with a full trumpet skirt in ivory accented with a gold velvet ribbon and gold broach of pearls and rhinestones at her waist. She carried a bouquet of eggplant calla lilies accented with autumn leaves and acorns.
The bride chose her sister, Julie Fuller Holt of Mocksville, as her matron of honor. Her other attendants were: Christina Shoffner Cooper of Kannapolis, sister of the groom; Molly Speer Connell of Salisbury, Emily Harpe Cornatzer of Advance and Kelsey Elizabeth Graf of Chapel Hill. Junior bridesmaid was Sally Magdalene Carter (Maggie), sister of the groom of Mocksville. Flower girl was Madison Jean Cooper of Kannapolis, niece of the groom.
The groom chose his dad, Bryant McClamroch, as his best man. Groomsmen were Marty Allen Dyson Jr., Jason Andrew Correll, both of Mocksville, Ezekiel James Earle of Wilmington, and Chad Edwin Fuller, brother of the bride of Advance. Junior groomsman was Phillip Edwin Fuller III (Winn), nephew of the bride, and ring bearer was Silas Frederick Fuller, nephew of the bride, both of Advance.
The guest register was attended by Erin Gregory, and the programs were distributed by Erin Chaffin.
The wedding was directed by Paula Allen, aunt of the bride.
Following the wedding, the reception was held at Childress Vineyards in Lexington. Guests were greeted by Eleanor Fuller, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jenny Turner, great-aunt of the bride.
After a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will be at home in Mocksville.
Pre-Wedding Parties
• An engagement party was held at the home of Chad and Eleanor Fuller, also hosted by Jamey and Julie Holt and Mike and Christina Cooper.
• A monogram shower was given by Molly Connell and Kelsey Graf at Connell’s home in Salisbury.
• The Hardison United Methodist Church ladies hosted a shower in the family life center.
• Julie Holt hosted a spa and bachelorette party at the home of Jenny Turner in Mocksville.
• The groom-to-be’s family and friends hosted a bridal shower at the McClamroch barn in Harmony.
• Donna and Heather Boger and Yvonne Richardson hosted a Make & Take Gourmet Shower at Sociale in Winston-Salem. Guests prepared meals for the bridal couple.
• A bridesmaids brunch was given by Paula, Jessica, and Courtney Allen and Teresa, Elizabeth, and Rebekah Santis at Cherries Cafe in Clemmons. The bride chose this time to give gifts to her attendants.
• The groom’s parents, Mary and Bryant McClamroch, hosted the rehearsal dinner at Brantley Farms Barn. The groom chose this time to give gifts to his groomsmen.
Brown-Horner Couple Wed
Jennifer Lynn Brown and Robert Michael Horner, both of New Bern, were united in marriage on Sept. 29 at the Sheraton New Bern Hotel & Marina with the Rev. Michael Bullis and Kim Bullis officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Allen and Trish Brown of Advance and the granddaughter of Clevie Jones of Mocksville and the late Donald and Annie Brown.
The groom is the son of Kenneth Horner Sr. of New Bern and Deborah Horner of Riverview, Fla. He is the grandson of the late Bill and Elizabeth Horner and the late Jessie and Nola Whitehurst.
The bride was given in marriage by Allen Brown, her father.
Nuptial music was provided by Riperian String quartet and vocalist Ashley Bullis.
The matron of honor was Tracie Brown of New Bern. Bridesmaids were: Shelly Whitehead of Beaufort; Teresa Horner, sister of the groom, and Barbara Jarman, both of New Bern; and Laurie Weber of Valrico, Fla., sister of the groom.
Abigail Brown, Nola Weber and Kenlee Horner were flower girls.
Best man was Tyler Horner of New Bern. Groomsmen were: Kenneth Horner Sr. of New Bern, father of the groom, Kenneth Horner Jr. of Vance, brother of the groom, Jason Brown of New Bern, brother of the bride, and Thomas Weber of Valrico, Fla.
Drew Weber was the ring bearer.
Donna Elwood was wedding coordinator.
A reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at the Sheraton Ballroom. Assisting with the reception was Donna Elwood.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Key West and Cozumel.
The bride is a graduate of New Bern High School and is employed by Carolina Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
The groom graudated from New Bern High School and is self employed.
They plan to live in New Bern.
LoCastro-Daniels Couple Married At Farmington
Nicole Shay LoCastro and Timothy Joshua Daniels, both of Davie County, were united in marriage on Friday, Oct. 19 at Farmington Baptist Church in Mocksville. The Rev. Ron Schuyler of Clemmons performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Denise LoCastro of Advance. She will graduate from Davie High School this year. She is an assistant children’s teacher at Farmington Baptist Church, and she serves as a childcare volunteer for clients who attend parenting/Bible study classes at Salem Pregnancy Care Center in Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Donda Toney and stepson of Paul Toney of Mocksville. He is a graduate of Davie High School and is serving his second year in the US Navy. He is a machinist mate on the USS Harry S. Truman, which will soon leave for a 7-month deployment.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The junior maid of honor was Jaden Toney and the best man was Jared Toney.
Music was provided by Heather Blank, and the wedding was directed by Heather Sanders.
The wedding reception was held in the church fellowship hall, after which the couple retreated to a secluded mountain cabin for their honeymoon.
The bride will reside with her in-laws until her husband returns from his deployment, at which time she will relocate to Norfolk, Va. where he is stationed.
