Shore-Long Couple United In Marriage
Alexandria Nicole Shore and Michael Wayne Long were married at 6 p.m. on May 10 at 1812 Hitching Post in Turnersburg. The Revs. Nathan Kirkpatrick and Heather Kilbourne officiated the outdoor ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mickey and Keretha Shore of Mocksville. Her maternal grandparents are the late Marvin and Rose Cheek of Hamptonville. Her paternal grandparents are the late Rev. J.C. and Helena Shore of Yadkinville. The bride is a graduate of Appalachian State University and works for the Department of Correction.
The groom is the son of Ronald and Malinda Hauser of East Bend. His maternal grandparents are Henry and Frances Long of Winston-Salem. His parental grandparents are the late John Neal Hauser and Dora G. Hauser of East Bend. The groom graduated from Surry Community College and is employed by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The bride was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was Jennie White of Tobaccoville. The bridesmaids were Marnie Matthews of East Bend, Tammy Vogler of Yadkinville, Shannon Humphrey of Kernersville, Mandy Swaim of Asheboro, Kelly Sloan of Olin, and Amy Mathis of Hamptonville. The junior bridesmaid was Sarah Matthews of East Bend. The junior bride was Sidney Matthews of East Bend. The flower girl was Emma Cheek of Yadkinville.
The best man was the groom’s father, Ronald Hauser. The groomsmen were Michael Stone of Yadkinville, Bryan Baker of Elkin, Clint Patterson of Hiddenite, Roger Smith Jr. of Waynesville, and Farron Jester of Yadkinville. The ring bearer was Derek Matthews of East Bend.
Wedding music was provided by Trumpeter Tommy Garner of Hamptonville. The wedding director was Teresa O’Dell of Mt. Airy. Program attendants were Tonia Goad and Erin Eskridge of Jonesville.
Following the wedding a reception was held at 1812 Hitching Post with dinner and dancing.
After a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico the couple resides in Mocksville.
