Mark Jones Leads Close Race For Commissioner

Leadership.
That’s what it is going to take to get Davie County working together once again.
Mark Jones, who won one of the three Republican nominations for county commissioner on Tuesday night, says he looks forward to working with fellow commissioners and county and school officials to help Davie County heal.
“I will work for all of the citizens of Davie County to do the job they’ve given me the mandate to do,” Jones said. “Right now, the county has some healing that needs to take place. We’ve got to heal the divisions before we can improve the overcrowding issues in our schools and aggressively recruit industry so that we can lower the tax burden on the individual homeowners.”
