Bobby West, 50, a life-long resident of Davie County was appointed Cooleemee Police Chief last month.
West, a former Davie County Sheriff’s Deputy, has already begun renovations at the department.
He’s updated computers, installed an new computer backup system, and begun interviews for applicants applying for a new police officer position.
As West sits in his newly painted office his excitement and enthusiasm about his new position clearly shows. “I think Cooleemee is a diamond in the rough and I’m very excited about this job.”
