Man Found With Girl, 15, Sentenced To 28-34 Years

Gregorio Campos Martinez, 62, of Boonville was arrested Nov. 10, 2006.
Martinez pleaded guilty to one count statutory rape. Nine counts statutory rape, one count of a crime against nature, and one count indecent liberties with a child were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Martinez appeared with his lawyer, Wade Leonard, and told presiding Judge W. David Lee that he had fathered 13 children.
Family members of the victim were present in the courtroom.
The mother of the victim told Lee, "This has been the worst year of our lives."
She said that Martinez had threatened her daughter. "He said that he would hurt her or have her hurt. We were afraid."
