Sheriff Has No Plans To Slow Down In 2008

Sheriff Andy Stokes says that 2007 was one of the busiest years he's had and he has no plans of slowing down during the year ahead.
A number of changes have taken place in the sheriff's department: office renovations, uniform changes, and new patrol cars to name a few.
You may have noticed some of the deputies driving around the county in silver patrol cars instead of the standard beige they've been driving over the years.
Stokes says the patrol cars (which are former highway patrol vehicles the county purchases) have traditionally been repainted before becoming part of the sheriff's department.
"After about two years that paint would begin to chalk and flake. It couldn't be maintained."
